For starters, I would argue the opposite- that good conversationalists know how and when to carry silence, to provoke and allow for thought.

Good conversationalists are the best listeners, the ones people gravitate to because their comments are occasional, but pertinent.

Can you tell I&#039;ve thought about this?  Something I want to be is a good communicator, because we save life when we share experience, and we share experience best in the give and take of good conversation.
