As another Ramadan draws to a close, here’s an old school shout out to bring in a new Eid. Little known fact: manamana is taken from the Arabic ma’na al-ma’na (“the meaning of meaning”), and is a veiled reference to Sufi devotional practices.

Doesn’t the little muppet in green look like the wool garments the early Sufis wore? Maybe not but it is a thought.
Clearly, the position of the horns and the starry eyes is meant to suggest the New Moon and Star symbol of Islam.
I found this to be a very mystical piece.
