barak Allaah feekum for the reminder. not praying is a serious offence in the sight of Allaah (subhana wa ta'aalah). Shaikh Uthaymeen as well as Shaikh Bin Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on them) described one who abandons prayer as a disbeliever, outside the fold of Islaam based on the Prophet (sallalaahu alayhi wasalam)'s statement that between a man and disbelief is salah as well as other evidence from the Qur'aan and the Sunnah. Of coarse we should keep in mind that Shaikh Albaani was of the opinion that one who does'nt pray is not a disbeliever unless he or she denies the obligation of the prayer in which case muslim scholars are in agreement that one who denies the obligation of the prayer is outside the fold of Islaam.
