The strength of a friendship between two males is proportional to the degree of openness between them.

Isn’t it true that the strength of ANY friendship is “proportional to the degree of openness between [the individuals]” ?
Why single out “male” friendship in particular?
I think b/c women traditional closer with each as a general rule. They would share stuff with a casual friend the males who reserve for their closest friends.
